Through his many years of work in the industry, Markus Schopp is thoroughly familiar with the operational challenges of aerospace supply chains: material availability, transparency, and security of supply are becoming increasingly important in today’s market environment. His expertise ranges from long-term supply agreements to day-to-day material coordination across international markets.

With locations in Germany, the United Kingdom, India, and Malaysia, BIKAR METALS continues to expand its international presence in the aerospace sector, focusing on process optimisation and reliable global material supply. In his new position, Markus Schopp will further develop strategic material planning and drive practical digital solutions in close collaboration with customers worldwide. One example is BIKAR METALS’ contract monitoring tool, which is already used by numerous customers. It enables forecast-based material management and transparent monitoring of supply contracts, providing greater visibility and planning security.
At ILA Berlin, Markus Schopp already took the opportunity to engage with customers and business partners about current market requirements and future developments. Further opportunities for personal exchange will be available at the Farnborough International Airshow from July 20–24, 2026, and at ALUMINIUM – the world trade fair and conference – from October 6–8, 2026, in Düsseldorf.
