Growth with Responsibility
While new trees are taking root on the site, one of the most significant future projects in the company’s history is taking shape just a few metres away: the BIKAR ZONE EAST.
With the construction of the world’s largest fully automated cutting centre for non-ferrous metal semi-finished products, BIKAR is investing around €60 million in its Thuringia site, setting new standards in digitalisation, efficiency and precision.
Covering approximately 22,000 square metres in Korbußen, the cutting centre of the future for aluminium and non-ferrous metals is being built. The concept includes an intelligent network of a high-bay warehouse, robotics, autonomous industrial vehicles and state-of-the-art sawing technology.
“We’re not just planting trees — we’re building the future,” explains Marcel Herzog, Head of Training at the Korbußen site. “The combination of modern training, technological excellence and sustainable thinking shows that economic growth and responsibility go hand in hand.”
The newly planted trees therefore symbolise what is currently taking shape in Korbußen: a company with strong roots and a clear vision for the future.
